How I turn complexity into coordinated action.

  1. Navigate complexity. Define the path forward.

    Distill competing signals into root causes and underlying dynamics, and define the critical decisions, tradeoffs, and ownership needed to move forward.

  2. Recognize individual strengths. Build complementary teams.

    Understand individual strengths, assemble complementary disciplines and perspectives, and create the conditions for each person to contribute at their best.

  3. Set direction. Preserve specialist authority.

    Set clear objectives, allow autonomy in how outcomes are achieved, and let domain experts own the relevant decisions.

  4. Create shared ownership. Build a learning culture.

    Foster candid feedback, psychological safety, and shared accountability so teams can experiment, adapt, and continuously improve.

  5. Convert vision into execution. Empower others to succeed.

    Translate future-state ideas into concrete experiments, products, and operating models, and create the structures that enable others to deliver.

  6. Ground in reality. Name the constraint.

    Always ground the work in real people, evidence, market conditions, and workflows, and identify key constraints so resourcing can be optimized toward the desired outcome.
